Updated: May 10, 2015.

I care about your personal privacy and I am dedicated to protecting it. I will never sell (or rent) your personal information to any third party, I promise.

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to information practices related to my website, EatingBaltimore.com. Although this website contains links to other websites, please be aware that I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those, or any other sites. If you follow a link to another website you should carefully read their privacy policy.

Personally Identifiable Information

Any personally identifiable information that you submit to my website will only be used to service your account and/or to provide you with information on EatingBaltimore.com products and services. The types of personal information that may be collected at the website may include: name, address, email address and/or telephone number.

EatingBaltimore.com is the sole owner of all information collected on this site. I will not rent, sell or share any personally-identifiable information about you with third parties for any reason except when required to assist in resolving an issue you raise with me or as required by law.

Aggregate Information

I generally record certain usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to the website. This information may include the websites that you access immediately before or after your visit to EatingBaltimore.com, the Internet browser you are using and your IP address. I use this information for internal use to help me provide a better user experience and to determine what kinds of information my users may find useful. Again, this information does not identify users personally, only their general behavior while using our website.

I do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit the site. Cookies are small files placed on your hard drive. Each website that you visit can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser preferences allow it. These cookies do not personally identify the user but only act to help me better understand user needs. You are always free to decline cookies if your browser permits.

I also use third party advertisements on EatingBaltimore.com to support the site financially. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on the site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP, or the browser you used to visit the site. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (e.g. showing resturant ads to someone living in Baltimore, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing health services ads to someone who frequents healthy living-type sites).

DoubleClick DART cookies

I may also use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising. This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history. DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, etc. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here.

Please note: Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

EatingBaltimore.com reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time for any reason. Please review this policy periodically for changes. A link to the current version of this Privacy Policy can be accessed from the footer of every page on this website. You acknowledge that by accessing this website after we have posted changes to this Privacy Policy, you are agreeing to the terms of the Privacy Policy as modified.
